🎓 Senior Announcement: Cap & Gown Delivery 🎓
Jostens will be on campus Monday, March 9th, at 1:30 PM to deliver caps and gowns for graduating seniors.

Boys and Girls State Presentation
Sallisaw High School will host a Boys and Girls State informational presentation on March 12th at 12:30 PM in the SHS Commons Area.
Students who are interested in attending Boys State or Girls State this summer are encouraged to attend this meeting. During the presentation, students will learn about the program, the application process, and the opportunities available through participation.
If you are interested in attending Boys or Girls State, please make plans to attend this presentation. See your school counselor if you have any questions.

Applications are now open for the 52nd Cadet Lawman Academy! This program is a great opportunity for students interested in law enforcement or criminal justice careers to gain hands-on experience and learn from professionals in the field.

Sallisaw High School will be hosting a FAFSA Night to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

⏰ Time: 4:30 – 6:30 PM
📍 Location: SHS Media Center
âś… Important: Completing FAFSA is a requirement for high school graduation.
What to Bring:
A charged Chromebook
Your personal email address
Your Social Security number
FAFSA is required for most federal and state financial aid, including grants, loans, and many scholarships. This is a great opportunity to receive hands-on assistance and ensure your application is completed correctly.

Sallisaw High School would like to invite all incoming freshmen and their parents to attend Freshman Orientation on:

Sallisaw High School Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 25th, from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
Donating blood is a simple way to make a big difference and help save lives in our community. We encourage students, staff, and community members who are eligible to participate.

Naturalization Test – Graduation Requirement
Sophomores will take the U.S. Naturalization Test on:

This test is a graduation requirement for all Oklahoma high school students.Â

This scholarship is available to seniors pursuing a career in healthcare.Â

The Communities Foundation of Oklahoma Scholarship Program is open! Through one application, students may be considered for multiple scholarships for college, CareerTech, or trade programs.

ACT Fee Waivers Available for 2025-2026
We are excited to announce that ACT fee waivers are now available! If you meet the eligibility requirements, these waivers can help you take the ACT at no cost and provide additional benefits to support your college admissions journey.
What the ACT Fee Waiver Covers:
Basic registration fees for up to four ACT tests, with or without the writing test.
Free access to The Official ACT Self-Paced Course, Powered by Kaplan.
Test Information Release (TIR) reports for three select test dates each year. (Note: The February National ACT administration is the last TIR-eligible test date of the school year.)
Unlimited additional score reports sent to colleges or scholarship agencies after testing.
College application fees—Students can request to have their application fees waived or deferred if they have taken the ACT with a fee waiver. (Note: Students must obtain the Waiver or Deferral of College Admissions Application Fee form from our office and send it directly to the college.)
