🎓 SENIORS — NSU SENIOR DAY! 💚

Northeastern State University is hosting Senior Day this Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Tahlequah campus!

📍 NSU – Tahlequah Campus
⏰ Check-In: 9:00–10:00 AM
🎉 Welcome Begins: 10:00 AM
⏰ Event Ends: 2:00 PM

SHS seniors may use one of their college days to attend this event. Please note that school transportation will NOT be provided. Students will be responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Sallisaw High School is excited to celebrate College Application Week! Throughout the week, college representatives and community partners will be on campus to help seniors explore their options, complete college applications, learn about scholarships and financial aid, and prepare for life after high school.

Representatives from Oklahoma State University (OSU) will be visiting Sallisaw High School on Wednesday, October 7th!

• OSU admissions and the application process
• Scholarships and financial aid
• Degree programs and majors

🎓💰 FAFSA NIGHT 💰🎓

Sallisaw High School will host FAFSA Night to help seniors and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and take an important step toward paying for college!

During FAFSA Night, families can receive assistance with:

🎓 UAFS Application Workshop 🎓

Representatives from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS) will be at Sallisaw High School on Thursday, October 8th to help seniors with the college application process!

During the workshop, seniors will have the opportunity to:

• Get help completing their UAFS application
• Ask questions about admissions and enrollment
• Learn about scholarships and financial aid
• Explore majors, programs, and campus opportunities
• Get assistance with their next steps after high school

📅 Deadline: September 29, 2026
Open to students 16 or older who are enrolled in high school or college. Applicants must be residents of the United States, District of Columbia, or U.S. Territories.

For high school seniors planning to attend college or university in Fall 2027. Applicants must be an Eagle Scout registered in an active unit and must not have reached their 19th birthday.

📣ACT Fee Waivers Available for Eligible JR and SR

ACT Fee Waivers Available for 2025-2026

We are excited to announce that ACT fee waivers are now available! If you meet the eligibility requirements, these waivers can help you take the ACT at no cost and provide additional benefits to support your college admissions journey.

What the ACT Fee Waiver Covers:

Basic registration fees for up to four ACT tests, with or without the writing test.
Free access to The Official ACT Self-Paced Course, Powered by Kaplan.
Test Information Release (TIR) reports for three select test dates each year. (Note: The February National ACT administration is the last TIR-eligible test date of the school year.)
Unlimited additional score reports sent to colleges or scholarship agencies after testing.
College application fees—Students can request to have their application fees waived or deferred if they have taken the ACT with a fee waiver. (Note: Students must obtain the Waiver or Deferral of College Admissions Application Fee form from our office and send it directly to the college.)
