South Salem Media Productions
The goal of the South Salem Media Productions program is to prepare students for continued education and employment in the changing media field. Those in the program may aspire to be journalists, film producers, writers, photographers, reporters, news anchors, sports announcers or radio broadcasters.
Like in most creative careers, students are encouraged to learn and understand their environment and their audience. This enables them to send the most effective message in an area that is facing rapid change.
The mission of the South Salem Media Productions program is to inspire our students to think critically and to communicate clearly; to master a rigorous, well-rounded, academic curriculum with the basics in media and communications courses.
The South Salem Media Productions curriculum features programs in the burgeoning fields of Journalism, Video (Internet based) Production and Television Broadcasting. These programs will focus on the current and future climate of the media.
