When you are applying for a job, it is always in your best interest to follow the directions listed in the description of the position and  include the following:

•   cover letter (letter of introduction)  

• resume 

• employment application

 Other tips to consider: 

• Dress nicely  depending on your line of work (Business casual/Clean clothes/ refrain from inappropriate Graphic Tee's)

• Always ask for a hiring manager, so you have the opportunity to introduce yourself when you drop off your application (unless otherwise noted in a job posting).
