About Mrs. Hur

Greetings SES Families,

My name is Mrs. Jenny Hur and I'm a 4th-grade teacher at Salisbury Elementary School.

I'm a proud native of State College, PA! True to my Happy Valley roots, I attended Penn State University, majoring in elementary education. After spending some time at home raising my children, I returned to teaching in 2014. This will be my eleventh year in Salisbury and eighth year teaching 4th grade. 

When not in school, I am usually at home, my favorite place to be! My family includes my husband, Dae, and our two grown children. Our son Johnny is a 2024 graduate of Penn State who works at NC State, researching sustainable agriculture. Our daughter Kaitlin graduated from Virginia Tech in 2021 and has a job she loves as an energy efficiency consultant near Boston. I enjoy cooking, crocheting, reading, and playing with our Goldendoodles, 7-year-old Bailey, and 3-year-old Willow!

I am super excited about making the 2025-2026 school year fun, challenging, rewarding, and memorable!
