- The 2013-2014 school year brings a new set of state standards called the COMMON CORE. Even though the state is still debating the issue, our three year transition plan is currently moving forward with the implementation of the new standards.

- STSD has adopted the Envisions Math Program for our turn towards the Common Core. Your student will be given a math workbook for this school year. The workbook has practice and reteach worksheets for your child to complete. A formal textbook will be available to your student. An online text will be used within the classroom and can be accessed from home. Each lesson has a quick check assigned by the classroom teacher and then monitored for intervention.
