2024 CIF State Championships: It had been 7 years since an Alisal athlete made it to State and 2008 since the last Alisal girl qualified. Yaretzi and Gustavo did not disappoint. Yaretzi started it out placing 80th out of 200 runners and shattered the Alisal course record by 41 seconds, running 19:06 for the 3.1 mile Woodward Park course. Gustavo followed up with a strong race finishing 51st out of 200 runners, running the 2nd fastest time in school history on the course in 15:48. He was only 20 seconds from the top 10 in the State. Great way for the both to represent Alisal.

2023 CCS Championships: Our season came to a close as our boys finished 6th and girls 8th in CCS Division 1, without any individual qualifiers. However, there were some great performances, as 4 of our 7 boys ran PRs, including Erik Luna who cracked the Top 25 in school history on the course. Our girls were led by Luz Mejia and Yaretzi Cornelio as both ran the exact same time to make the Top 25 in school history as well.
