Hello! My name is Christi Hicks. I am born and raised in Salinas, Ca. I graduated from Notre Dame High School, University of Nevada, Reno and obtained my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. I have been fortunate to have been able to teach grades 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6th grades for the past 25 years. Monterey Park is a very special place where I get to work with my big sister, Stefanie Burgess, who teaches Kindergarten. I am a die hard San Francisco 49er and Giants sports fan. I am also a Golden State Warriors fan too. The above picture is of my dogs Maddie and Rusty who are also avid sports fans too! I am an avid reader and I absolutely love Clifford the Big Red Dog! I love teaching and enjoy sharing my love for learning with my students and seeing them become excited about learning.
