Enter from Shelby Street at South entrance across from Armory. Use single car line to drop off at one of the stations along the covered canopy. Students in grades K-2 will then walk to Main Office entrance by lion statues. Students in grades 3-5 will walk to South doors (former office entrance).

Parents of Own Transportation students:
Based on feedback, suggestions, and a desire to maintain continual focus on student safety, we have adjusted the number of vehicles picking up in our parking lot simultaneously. Today we will continue to use the same traffic pattern and feeding system as yesterday, but we are making a few adjustments for dismissing our students to parents.
First, we will allow parents to park in the northern parking lot and walk to the area located beside the flag pole to pick up their children. Notify the school employee of your child’s name and grade and we will dismiss your child. Please make sure a mask is being worn during walk-up dismissal.
Second, we will feed both lines of vehicles into two pickup areas in our lot. This will double the number of vehicles picking up at one time by utilizing two lines. Staff members will begin walking through our vehicle lines to write names and grades of each student being picked up in the corresponding vehicles. Our intention is a smoother pick-up transition once our two lines form in the parking lot.
We will group students together in the same family before releasing them to the Pick-up lines in the parking lot.
We are thankful for parents choosing to utilize Own Transportation to help us minimize our bus capacity. As the volume of vehicle traffic has increased we continue to make adjustments to fit the needs of our school community.
Adults will escort students to parents from each exit. *Note: We are working on a numbered tag system for identification, but this will not be available on the first day.

*Traffic patterns are subject to change due to the higher than usual volume of car riders. We appreciate your patience as we keep working to adjust ideas to maintain student and patron safety for BSE, the YMCA preschool, and our bus drivers and riders.
