Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Mrs. Murray and this is my 12th year of teaching. For the past 9 years, I have been teaching in Roanoke County Public Schools where I taught 4th grade and 2nd grade. Before that, I spent a year in Franklin County Public Schools teaching 4th grade.

I was born and raised in Roanoke. Upon graduation from Hidden Valley High School, I attended JMU where I received by undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and a Masters in Teaching (Pre-K-6th).

Currently, I reside in Salem with my husband, Jason, and our one year old son, Bryce who is the sweetest and most laid back little guy. We are loving being a family of three!!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, decorating our house, scrap-booking, reading, and attending Virginia Tech football games! Go HOKIES! My favorite thing to do though is travel.

Being a teacher is my dream job. I knew from very young age that teaching was my calling, and I can't tell you how excited I am to have each of you in my classroom family this year. We are going to learn a lot this year and have a ton of fun along the way. I hope you are as excited about our year together in 2nd grade as I am!
