Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Fagg and this is my 10th year of teaching elementary school. For the past 9 years I worked in Roanoke City Public Schools; one year as a 4th grade teacher, 4 years as a 5th grade teacher, and 4 years as a Reading Specialist. I am so excited to be a South Salem Falcon!

I have lived in Salem, Virginia for the majority of my life. I attended West Salem Elementary, ALMS, and Salem High School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Roanoke College and my Master's Degree in Reading Education from the University of Virginia.

I currently reside in Salem with my husband, Derek, our three year old daughter, Addison, and our 8 month old son, Elliott. We also have two dogs, Chipper and Millie. We love living in Salem and spending time with our family and friends.

When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, baking, shopping, enjoying the outdoors (Fall is my favorite!), and searching Pinterest for new and exciting ideas.

I have known I wanted to teach since I was in the 4th grade. Teaching is truly my calling and I am so excited to see what this school year has in store for us! Welcome to our 4th grade journey.
