5th grade math
Teaching math is my true passion! For the past two years, I taught 3rd-grade math and science, and I have also previously taught 2nd grade. This deep background in foundational math gives me a great understanding of how your child's mathematical mind works and how to help them bridge those skills into advanced 5th-grade concepts like fractions, decimals, and coordinate grids.
On a personal note, I am married and a proud mom to four wonderful children. When I am not in the classroom, you can almost always find me outdoors! I absolutely love camping, hiking, and exploring nature with my family.
Growing up, I often felt invisible in school. I sat in the back of the classroom, rarely spoke, and had teachers who didn't even remember my name. That experience is exactly why I became a teacher. My mission is to ensure that no child ever sits in the shadows of my classroom. I make it a priority to deeply know, value, and celebrate each and every student. Together, we are going to build a wonderful, supportive classroom family where everyone belongs.
