WHY!?!:

Before I became a teacher, I was a salesman. I worked long hours and got paid to produce. At any given moment you could always find me looking for the next opportunity. How can I make a deal right now?! I was compelled to stay moving with my eyes open and my head on a swivel. 

As a teacher, I’m finding out that I use many of the same strengths I used as a salesman. The one thing though, that makes me want to keep coming  back every day is finding the next moment, the next opportunity, and bringing it to the desk and closing the deal.  Maybe it’s a “teachable moment,” or maybe it's just giving my smile to someone without one. 

You can’t teach in the past or future. You can only teach in the right now, one moment at a time. I’m here to be present in the present.  I believe that I am here for all the “whys” I can find on any given day.
