Our Vision
Our vision for the Saints Agency is to create a vibrant industry network where local businesses and students come together to intersect business, education, and community growth. The Saints Agency strives to keep young talent in the Northland while empowering local organizations to reach their full potential.
The Saints Agency was founded within the Stender School of Leadership at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, to bridge two important needs — helping local small businesses and nonprofits thrive while providing students with meaningful, real-world experience.
The inspiration for the agency grew from a powerful idea that Co-Founder and Professor at the College of St. Scholastica, Melissa Goodson, pondered about: What if students could apply what they learn in the classroom to make a direct impact on the community here in beautiful Duluth? Many small business owners and nonprofit leaders in the Northland area face the daily challenge of balancing their mission with limited resources. At the same time, students are constantly looking for opportunities to gain practical experience while getting their degree, which prepares them for meaningful careers.
Saints Agency was created to bring these two worlds together.
Through faculty-guided collaborations, CSS students in management, marketing, and accounting/finance work together with real clients on projects in the Duluth area. The model provides valuable business support for clients at an affordable rate while giving students hands-on experience, as well as professional mentorship.
