What is Kiwanis?
Dedicated to serving the children of the world, this global volunteer organization annually raises $390 million and dedicates more than 7.7 million hours to strengthening communities and helping children. Through service projects and fundraisers, Kiwanis members improve their communities, make lifelong friendships and, most importantly, help children reach their full potential.
Kiwanis has a long history of serving the children of Central Oregon.
Here's a quick glimpse of some of the things we've done over the past 50+ years!
Check out our In Action page to see what we've been up to since our recharter!
TAKE ACTION! Trinity's Key Club is doing a food drive over the next month in conjunction with Souper Bowl of Caring. All donations will go to the Bend Food Project. Want to donate? Bring shelf stable items to the planning meeting this Saturday, 1/17 or to the basketball game at Trinity on February 3rd. This is one of the Key Club's biggest service projects of the year!
What are HAPPY DOLLARS? This is a Kiwanis meeting tradition in which Kiwanians offer up a dollar (or more) when they feel happy about an event, personal news, or even just the weather. Want to participate? Bring a dollar to our next meeting. All monies collected go towards our administrative costs.
Examples of recently heard Happy Dollar News:
"We're excited for the strength of our Key Clubs."
"I have a new grandchild!"
"I'm enjoying the mild weather."
"It's awesome that Barbara got recognized for her leadership in Kiwanis with the Good Neighbor award!"
"I'm just happy to be here!"
