We will review our learning of explanation/recount/instructional writing by choosing our own topics based on our experiences and learning this year. Students will use "The Writing Process" to draft, refine, edit and publish their writing.

Term 3: "To Explain/Instruct."
We will continue to explore ways to explain things to our audience using the contexts of "My/Our Space", Mission Day, Planet Earth & Beyond and reflecting on our previous learning. Special sessions will include structure of our writing, providing greater detail and linking main ideas with evidence.

TERM 2: To Instruct/To Inquire. Exploring poetry.
We will explore this purpose for writing using our experiences during COVID-19 Lockdown and using our context from our Term 2/3 Inquiry topic.
TERM 1: "To Describe/Explain".
All of our activities this term will be in association with AThCo using the Book "Mophead" by Selina Tusitala-Marsh.
