Watch this shortened version of the show to get a sense of its style. The Play that Goes Wrong performing at The Royal Variety Performance 2015
For the production of this play at Saint Mary’s the names of the male actors will be changed to female names(the names of all the characters will stay the same). This is because our convention is that the show is being put on by The Sacred Sisters Polytechnic College for Young Women, a women’s college located in Minnesota. The production is the annual college play in which the students (all female or non-binary) play all the roles both male and female.
Each of the actors is trying to play his character to the very best of their ability. The show is a mystery…not a comedy (to them). They want to be impressive in their roles.
The Characters:
Chris Bean, who plays Inspector Carter and serves as the show's director, set designer, costume designer, prop maker, box office manager, press and PR person, dramaturgy, voice coach, dialect coach, and fight choreographer and filled in for the role of Mr. Fitzroy during rehearsals
Jonathan Harris, who plays Charles Haversham, owner of the manor, deceased(?)
Robert Grove, who plays Thomas Colleymoore, Charles’s old school friend
Dennis Tyde, who plays Perkins, Charles’s Butler
