Philosophy
The St. Leo’s Cheer program offers a positive learning experience for all skill levels and
is available to girls grades 4-8. The girls are expected to have exemplary conduct in and
out of school; they represent the best of St. Leo’s at all times. Mutual respect for coaches
and teammates is expected. This includes any internet and online access/interaction.

4th & 5th graders and new participants will learn cheers and elementary skills, dance,
stunts, and very basic gymnastics (if ready). 6th, 7th, & 8th grade cheerleaders: will learn
cheers, skills, dance, stunts, and basic gymnastics. They will perform at Basketball
Games, the Winter Pep Rally, and have the opportunity to compete in the Bishop Ireton
Winter Blast Cheer Competition. Parents will be notified of the date and must commit by
a certain time, but the event is not mandatory.

Fee: $70, Checks to St. Leo’s CYO. Girls participating in both cheer and basketball receive a discounted rate for basketball.
Uniform (including tunic, skirt, and turtleneck):
Provided. Personal items such as socks, bows, bloomers and shoes MUST BE
PURCHASED SEPARATELY.
