Choirs

The Schola Cantorum at St. Francis is a small auditioned group of volunteer singers (parishioners). We focus on preparing more elaborate repertoire from the Church's rich tradition of Sacred Music; motets, renaissance polyphony, including works from Palestrina, Byrd, Mozart, Morales, etc.

We sing: every Sunday at 10am Mass.

Practice: Every Sunday at 8:30am, Padre Pio Room

Sings: last Saturday of every month, at 4:30pm Mass.

Practice: the 2 Fridays that precede the last Saturday of the month, 4-5pm, in the church.

For special feast concerts. Non-auditioned. Open to all levels of musical ability. 2nd -7th grade

(Reading ability required: younger children will be considered depending on behavior and ability to participate, and if parent or older sibling is present).

Rehearsals start in November. Check bulletin for more info as we get closer to rehearsing season. Currently scheduled for Christmas season.
