Week of February 8th -12th: My Bedroom- it’s due on Friday, February 11th.

In the book, Bat describes his room and how it is a safe place for him. He describes all of the favorite items in his room. On a piece of 8.5x11in white paper, draw and color a detailed picture of your bedroom. Bring in the complete drawing on February 11th. Week of February 15th-19th: Lego Pet- it’s due on Friday, February 19th.

Bat wants to keep the skunk as a pet. This week’s activity is a STEM activity to use LEGO blocks to create a pet for yourself. Your LEGO pet can be any animal that you want it to be! Bring in the LEGO pet creation on February 19th. Please label it with your name and grade so we can return it to you.

Week of February 22nd -26th: Veterinary Clinic–it’s due on Friday, February 26th

Janie is always trying to get her Mom to rename her veterinary clinic. She believes she should rename it “something fun, something creative.” On a piece of 8.5x11in white paper, draw and color a picture of the front of Valerie Tam’s clinic BUT come up with a NEW NAME for it. Janie will be so happy! Please label it with your name and grade so we can return it to you.

Week of March 1st -5th: My Five Senses Poem–it’s due on Friday, March 5th

In the story, Bat describes things that he likes and doesn't like to smell, taste, touch, see and hear. You are going to use your five senses and tell me what you like and don’t like to smell, taste, touch, see and hear! At the bottom draw and color pictures of some of the items you listed. Week of March 8th: All About Skunk Poster–it’s due on Wednesday, March 10th

In A Boy Called Bat, we learned many facts about skunks. Create an eye-catching “All About Skunks” poster with the facts that you learned about skunks! Be sure to include pictures of skunks. Please label it with your name and grade so we can return it to you.
