Grade 3 Summer Reading Book Report 

“Stargazing” by Jen Wang



Complete a Book Review Poster 

Part of being a reader is sharing what you read with others! After you read Stargazing, you are going to create a poster to let other readers know about your book. You will be including important information about your book, giving a review, and rating the book out of 5 stars. Your poster must include the 6 required sections. You can organize it and decorate it any way you want to. In addition to the required sections, please make sure your poster is neat, creative, and colorful. 

● Section 1: Title and Author of the book

● Section 2: Describe the setting (where and when the story takes place) 

● Section 3: Summarize the story/tell what the story is about in 4-5 sentences. 

● Section 4: Discuss a character from the book who you think is important or interesting. Include character traits/describe the character and explain why you think they are important, interesting, or unique. 

● Section 5: Discuss the big idea (theme). What is the message or lesson that the author is trying to teach you? 

● Section 6: Rate the book out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

● *Be prepared to share your poster with the class when you come back to school.
