Students Entering 1st-8th Grade
Literacy is a life skill, and we use reading and writing every day in some way. We feel that to best prepare our students for the future, we must provide them with many opportunities to develop real life opportunities to read and write. Both of these skills can be improved with continued practice.
We believe it is important for students to maintain their reading and writing skills throughout the summer until we return to school in the fall. In an effort to support students with this, teachers have worked to curate a collection of meaningful activities at each grade level. All summer ELA assignments are due by August 12, 2026.
