Each year the 3rd graders learn and perform a winter musical! The students practice their parts for months in preparation. Students are responsible for getting costumes together at home, but everything else is provided.
This year's musical is... "A Pirate Christmas". In this play "the legendary 'White Beard' aka Santa, the elves and reindeer teach a salty crew of pirates all about true treasure." The show will be performed during the day for the school on Wednesday January 14th at 1:45 and at nighttime for the parents on Wednesday January 14th at 7:00.
All questions can be emailed to me at kbonner@saintannies.org
Looking forward to another winter musical extravaganza!!
Hi Parents,
Here are the details for the 3rd grade musical on Wednesday 1/14!
-The children will bring their costumes to school on Wednesday 1/14 in a bag that’s labeled with their name (first and last). Please make sure costumes are labeled as well. All students in 3rd grade will be permitted to wear their gym uniform that day.
All of 3rd grade will go over to the parish hall at 1:00 to get ready for the school performance which will begin at 1:45. If for some reason you cannot attend the nighttime performance, you are welcome to come to the school show. If your child can wear their costume over their gym uniform, they are permitted to do so. If they need to change, they will do that in the individual stalls in the bathroom.
After the school show is over, all students will change back into their gym uniform and bring their costumes back home.
-For the nighttime performance (Wednesday 1/14 at 7:00) students should arrive at the parish hall between 6:30/6:45 IN THEIR COSTUMES. Students were told that if they want to do their hair a special way, put on any makeup/glitter/jewels or accessories, they may do so for the nighttime performance only (other than elf/pirate hats or reindeer antlers which can be worn during the day). I don’t want students arriving too early, then they’ll just be running around and risk getting hurt. And, please - NO WEAPONS (swords/knives/hooks etc.)
The show is only about 30-35 minutes long, so it will be a fairly short program.
If you have any questions or concerns (especially regarding costumes) please email me ASAP kbonner@saintannies.org
Thank you and looking forward to a wonderful performance next week!
