Hi! My name is Rebecca Woodland, and I’m so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year!
I’m originally from Broomall, PA and a proud graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School and Neumann University. I live with my parents and my two younger sisters—Bridget (25) and Elizabeth (22). We also have a very sweet pet bunny named Dasher! I also have a wonderful boyfriend, Matthew, who is an engineer.
This is my sixth year teaching. I previously taught 2nd grade at Holy Cross for two years, and for the past three years, I taught 6th grade Religion and Science at St. Annie’s. I am thrilled to be working with 3rd graders now and can’t wait for all the learning and fun we’ll have together!
A few of my favorite things: I love listening to country music, going to the beach, shopping at Target or TJ Maxx, and grabbing an iced coffee from Dunkin. I'm a big Taylor Swift fan (we even share the same birthday!) and my favorite color is blue.
My goal as a teacher is to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom where every student can grow, succeed, and feel proud of who they are. I can't wait to get to know each of my students and their families. This is going to be a great year!
