Morning Arrival : First Grade enters through the main doors. They are seated in the main hallway where a teacher will meet them. They are then walked down to our classrooms. The side doors are used only by Kindergarten.

Snack: We have a morning and afternoon snack time. First Graders can by a pretzel in the morning for 30 cents. You may send in a drink as well.

Lunch: Students can buy lunch in the cafeteria. Each student will have an account number. Snacks and ice cream are available everyday. First Graders will need to learn their account numbers. Please discuss with your child, what they can and cannot buy at lunch. We will help them learn the routines of lunchtime.

Homework: Every Monday students will receive a weekly homework sheet. The homework sheet will contain homework for each night of the week. Please do not go ahead to the next nights homework. The homework will also contain weekly High frequency words. It will also contain any information you need for the week. All this information will be posted on google sites as well. The homework sheet should remain in your child's "H" folder for the week.

Reading Copybook- Reading copybooks will contain a weekly Word list with High frequency words and phonics words. Students need to practice reading their Word list every night. Students should be able to read their word list fluently by Friday. When students are able to read their weekly list fluently, they will receive a sticker to indicate they have mastered their list.

Dismissal- Thank you for providing accurate dismissal plans for your child. If there is ever a change with your child's dismissal plan, please send in a note indicating the change. We will not put a child in a different dismissal line without a note from a parent.
