The Florescue Family Foundation was created by Barry William Florescue. The Foundation currently provides support to various charitable originations throughout the United States. The Foundation’s charter requires the Board of Directors to provide financial support to charitable organizations that: (i) support heart disease, diabetes or eye cancer; (ii) support educational institutions; and (iii) provide support and education to children under the age of 21.
Mr. Florescue’s wife, Sharon Gustafson is the President of the Foundation and its members include: Gretchen Florescue, Seth E. Ellis, Dana Scheer, Bryan Florescue, Logan Delany, Charles Weisman, and Renate Florescue.
Barry Florescue was a highly successful investor, accomplished entrepreneur, and former CEO and chairman of numerous prominent corporations. He was Chairman of the Board and President of BMD Management Company Inc., a privately owned business that manages more than 30 commercial real estate properties in Florida, Colorado, New York, and Utah. An invaluable advisor, volunteer, and supporter of Simon School of the University of Rochester, his contributions have made an enduring impact on both Simon and the University. The Foundation Board continues to provide support to the University of Rochester in Barry’s memory.
