Monthly newsletter-May

In math, we are beginning Ch. 9-Geometry.  We will learn about lines, line segments, rays, triangles, etc.  If time allows, we will start to learn about fractions!  We will also review for our math final.

In religion, we are finishing up Unit 3.  We are learning about the parts of the mass and the sacraments.  We will be completing our Unit 3 assessment as well as our chapter tests.  This is also a month devoted to Mary!  We will not only have our May Procession, but we will celebrate Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday too.

For ELA, we have begun Unit 4.  We are back to fiction and are starting off with a folktale.  We will also be reviewing skills such as root words, ask and answer questions, and point of view.  In grammar we are continuing with our parts of speech and will soon start reviewing for finals.

We have wrapped up our unit on government and are now back to science.  We are learning about survival with plants and animals.

We have a busy month ahead!  Let's focus and finish this year strong!
