High School Admissions Information:
Attached you will find a list of schools offering practice HSPT (High School Placement Test) opportunities. These practice tests are an excellent way for your student to become familiar with the format, question types, and pacing required for success on the HSPT.
While the HSPT is primarily used as part of the admissions process for many private/Catholic high schools, it also serves another significant purpose—scholarship opportunities.
Students who perform exceptionally well on the HSPT may qualify for academic scholarships offered by private/parochial high schools. These scholarships are often awarded based on merit and can help offset the cost of tuition. Additionally, strong HSPT results can be a reflection of a student’s preparedness for advanced courses, which can further enhance their academic journey.
Encouraging your child to prepare thoroughly for the HSPT not only sets them up for success in the admissions process but also opens doors to financial assistance and recognition for their hard work and academic potential.
Why Practice? The more students practice, the better prepared and confident they will be on test day. We highly recommend considering multiple practice test sessions at various schools. Each experience can help students refine their skills and identify areas for improvement.
Preparation Resource: In addition to practice tests, we suggest purchasing the following HSPT preparation book to support your student’s studies:

Please note that this book is NOT mandatory, but if you do choose to purchase it, have your student bring the book to school. We are happy to assist in helping them get started with their preparation during their STAG Time (advisory period). Early preparation can make a significant difference in achieving strong results.
