In Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten, we learn so many exciting things:
we learn about the organization of letters and numbers the keyboard
how to safely and carefully use devices such as iPads and Laptops
how to type our names and navigate to the apps and websites we use in class
we read books and build related scenes with Legos
we learn about bridges and build them
we learn how to work with partners to solve problems
we learn how to write instructions in sequence using coding blocks
Kindergartners learned about 3 types of bridges - Beam, Suspension and Truss. We learned what makes bridges strong so that they can support heavy cars and trucks. Then we build bridges out of blocks and cardboard. Then we drove a car over the bridge to see if the bridge could support the weight of the car.
Pre-K read the book "Not a Box". Then they designed and built their creations out of boxes!
