Kara Nelson, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist and Owner
Kara Nelson has worked in the field of speech-language pathology since 2007. Her experience includes pediatric clinical services, school-based therapy, evaluations, supervision, consultation, and contracted support for local schools.
Kara specializes in individualized, neurodiversity-affirming care for children with a wide range of communication needs. Her clinical interests include speech sound development, receptive and expressive language, gestalt language development, AAC, narrative language, and literacy.
As a Sahuarita parent and local business owner, Kara is committed to providing high-quality services that strengthen both individual families and the surrounding community.
Ashley Keith
Reading Tutor
Ashley Keith holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on mild-to-moderate disabilities. She holds a Special Education Teaching Certificate and has experience teaching reading, writing, and math to students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Ashley provides individualized reading instruction using explicit, systematic approaches, including UFLI Foundations. She helps children strengthen foundational reading skills while building confidence and developing a more positive relationship with reading.

Sahuarita Speech Spot works with additional speech-language professionals who provide services at contracted school and community locations.
