The mission of the school library program is to provide an inviting, dynamic learning environment & services that support & enhance teaching, literacy & learning.

Coordinated new Interface application of Destiny Discover (Library Catalog & Research Platform) to assist librarians in integrating program with users
Investigating connecting the districts’ libraries to Overdrive (public library ebooks). IT is working on this.
Promoting ebooks periodically throughout the year that were acquired from grant
Researched “Genrefication” in order to facilitate Librarians Curriculum Day as well as AASL Standards
Attended district PD: (2) AI, Event Planning 101, Transforming Classrooms: Strategies for Effective Behavior Intervention 6th-12th
PDs attended: Destiny webinars: Inventory and Destiny Updates
Mentored Makerspace meetings so that students could explore and inquire with hands-on materials and activities

Continue evolving with Makerspace program, including collaboration with our Raytheon volunteer, sewing volunteer, WGHS and the Public Library
Continue to evaluate whether the genrefication process in the fiction section of the library
Continue to promote ebooks as a form of reading option
