CLS Students at the NWT Legislature
Colville Lake School students Briley Kochon and Mason Kochon had the opportunity to participate in the Page Program at the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly for the October session. The Page Program provides the opportunity for students that are 13-14 years old to gain valuable work experience at the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly. Pages play a vital role in the smooth flow of documents and delivery of messages both within and outside the Chamber. The Page Program allows interested students to learn about the democratic process and to experience firsthand how public policy is decided by the Legislative Assembly. We congratulate Briley and Mason on their extraordinary work as Pages and their dedication and commitment in taking on this leadership role. We thank Colville Lake School Teacher Maureen MacKinnon for supporting the youth during this week.
