SYNOPSIS: An adaptation of the classic novel and beloved films, Freaky Friday follows teenager Ellie Blake and her overworked mother, Katherine, on the weirdest, strangest, craziest, freakiest day of their whole lives! Try as they might, Katherine and Ellie just can’t seem to understand each other - Ellie wants her mom to stop trying to change her, while Katherine wants her daughter to be the best version of herself that she can be. On one fateful Friday, the day before Katherine’s wedding, something magical occurs - mother and daughter switch bodies! But by being forced to spend a day (literally) in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie learn to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

THE FAMILY
KATHERINE BLAKE - Ellie's mother. A perfectionist who juggles running her catering business with planning her upcoming wedding. She is decisive, lovely, punctual, and frustrated that her daughter isn't reaching her full potential! Through the swap, Katherine learns to appreciate the pressures he daughter faces while also rediscovering her own fun loving side. PLEASE NOTE: this actor performs as Ellie the majority of the show. Strong Actor, Singer, Dancer.
ELLIE BLAKE - Katherine's daughter with often messy hair that hasn't seen a comb today. A teen with a rebellious streak and a sarcastic sense of humor. She is strong willed, smart, funny, and ultimately kind hearted. Ellie struggles to connect with her mom and grieves the passing of her dad, but through the swap, discovers her own resilience and maturity. PLEASE NOTE: this actor performs as Katherine the majority of the show. Strong Actor, Singer, Dancer.
FLETCHER BLAKE - Ellie's brother and Katherine's son. Eccentric, naive, sensitive, and loves puppets, often talking with them on his hands. His favorites are ANNGRY BOB (an enraged purple hippo), and CASPIAN (a proper British Starfish). He loves performing, and wants to be a comedian when he grows up. Strong Singer/Actor.
MIKE - Katherine's loving and supportive fiance -confident, charming, and kind. A warm, dependable man who is ready to embrace his new family. Strong Singer/Actor
THE STUDENTS
ADAM - Ellie's crush, and the school's Listmaster. A sweet and charasmatic boy who is down to earth and charming without being arrogant. He has a strong moral compass, and is the paragon of "adorable cool". Strong Singer, Actor, Dancer.
GRETCHEN - one of Ellie's best friends. Intense, emotional, and lacks confidence. Strong Singer, Actor, Dancer.
HANNAH - another one of Ellie's best friends. A hacker geek/nerd girl. Strong Singer, Actor, Dancer
SAVANNAH - the Queen Bee of Ellie's high school. Competitive, brilliant, aggressive, and self assured. A winner. Strong Singer, Actor, Dancer.
PARKER - Ellie's friend, and best friends with Wells. Completely average. Strong Singer, Actor, Dancer.
