Advanced Welding Production extends the experiences in the field of welding and the instruction qualifies students for many occupations within the field of welding. Extensive training is given in out-of-position SMAW, GMAW, manual and CNC cutting operations, and in low temperature brazing techniques. Students will be taught industrial fabrication techniques, as well as heating effects on metal, and the effects of stressing, expansion and contraction of certain metals. Students enrolled in this course will receive dual credit through Parkland College for the course WLD 111.
