Advanced Machine Production will provide the students with the current knowledge and skills necessary to meet the need of today’s ever changing industrial technological industries. Students will receive extensive training in the set-up and operation of various machines such as: drill press, vertical mill, engine lathe, bandsaw and grinder. Industrial practiced measuring and layout techniques will be applied along with an emphasis on material hold down and fixtures. Students will be introduced to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) theory. Students enrolled in this course will receive dual credit through Parkland College for the course MFT 110.
Prerequisites: Industrial Technology Orientation, Welding and Machine Production
