The audience will engage with the product through this platform through a podcast that will be linked to the online journal page as part of the creator's upcoming events posts. Through research, I have found it quite common for online gamers to be heavily involved in all branches of the games like podcasts and reviews on youtube. This connects to the Journals because it involves the creator of them and it's all about the game. The access points in this would be the storyline of the new release, there is also a confirmation of the release time. the physical access point will be me linking Dion's page below.
THE PODCAST - WHICH IS FOUND IN THE ONLINE JOURNAL PAGE - THE ONLINE JOURNAL PAGE IS FOUND ON THE GAMING WEBSITE IN THE 'EXTENDED FORUMS' PAGE
THE RECORDING/CREATING
Through my research, I found that the best podcast platform to choose was a filmed podcast. Making sure to have gaming posters or items as a background immediately connects with the audience because if they relate to something or identify a similar interest just through your background they have already formed an attachment. So prior to lockdown this would have been videoed in an engaging environment and I would have also used another person to voice Hayley, I originally planned a friend of mine who actually used to do game reviews on youtube and she has that really peppy upbeat attitude and engaging voice.
When writing the script I followed the structure and attitude of what I saw most from popular gaming podcasts and from online info pages to have something a bit more tangible to follow. I did not focus too much on the editing, I was going to include original music but it seemed like a waste of effort, especially since I no longer had access to the equipment needed to record.
