Audio & Music students are invited to attend some extra workshops on music technology and music theory - check out the details below

Introduction to Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs): This session looks at the basics of music technology using various DAWs such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live. You'll cover the fundamentals of how DAWs work with audio interfaces, sound recording, software instruments and MIDI. You'll encounter multiplatform technology throughout your study at SAE, and this orientation workshop is great kickstart to these units.

Music Theory Fundamentals: An introduction to the core principles of music - melody, harmony, rhythm and form. This workshop covers the basic of music theory in a practical way,  and directly connects to the work you'll be doing in your first songwriting unit. If music theory is new for you, or you just need a refresher - this workshop is for you!
