MUSIC DESIGN COLLABORATION
This project was a collaboration with one of the Music students. We were asked to develop a branding concept and design cover art that could be used on different digital platforms. During the client meeting we discussed styles and ideas, leading towards a black and white visual style.
I chose a quite minimal approach to typography, and mixed geometric and organic elements into the cover illustration.
The idea behind the cover art is the music filling up an empty space and making it magical.
My purpose was to create something contemporary and versatile, and using just black & white was challenging, as a limited colour scheme can be a restriction sometimes, although the contrast they create is quite visually striking and modern.
DESIGN FUTURES - UNMASKED BRANDING
For this project we had to identify a sustainability challenge of our time and as a group ideate and develop a possible design solution to it. In our first research session, we were shocked by the amount of disposable masks used globally during the pandemic and the impact they had on the environment. Unfortunately, single use masks can't be recycled, so we came up with a repurposing plan, which included melting them and reshaping the material into new objects, such as skateboards.
Our goal is to raise awareness on this issue, to drive the audience to choose reusable textile masks when possible, and dispose of single use masks properly.
As individuals we developed a brand identity and a style guide for the project. As a group we refined the final branding and all the printed and digital deliverables.
This project was a big learning outcome in terms of collaborative work to me, as I had to work alongside three other designers, and was a very positive experience professionally and personally.
DESIGN FOR THE FUTURE - UNMASKED BROCHURE
DESIGN FOR THE FUTURE - UNMASKED PHOTOGRAPHIC ENHANCEMENT
Part of the Design Future project focused on photography. As individuals we had to ideate a concept based on our project's theme and purpose. Taking the pictures and enhancing them using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I don't have much experience with digital photography and editing, so this project was quite challenging to me, especially when it comes to product photography; the editing process is different and requires lots of attention to lighting and colour grading. Considering that, I'm satisfied with the final results, the images are bright and in line with the branding style.

REFLECTION
This Trimester was full of learning outcomes and inspirations for the future. I had the chance to work on a few group projects, which allowed me to get in contact with different design styles and processes, which is always an opportunity to grow and get valuable insights. This was also my last Studio here at Sae, so it felt like a positive last experience, thinking about this journey, I definitely feel more confident in my work and trust the process of making errors. I'm always very grateful for all the feedback received through the trimesters, that helped me to understand better and improve my skills.
