My Book Cover
Hard Cover Mock-upIn this Book cover the task was to create a double exposure in Adobe Photoshop to create an image for a book cover of our choice, My chosen Title was Vicki Hastrich's Night Fishing (Existing cover below) my decision was to use the authors hometown double exposed with artwork from Francisco Goya to show what the book was about as well ad creating a dark soothing tone that invokes thought, as well as the significance of text placement in "Night" and "Fishing".

In this project it was about taking a receipe for Boiled Eggs and re-writing it in the tone of voice the company sells their products in, now our group consisted of Kiah and Myself and two students from Dubai and our company given was Louis Vuitton.
After Researching i realised one thing, LV would NEVER give you a pattern on how to make one of their signature bags. So i decided to take the risk say lets scratch the recipe all together for that exact reason, so together we came up with,
"The Firmness of Yolk".
This Project was a Piece for Album art, and Digital deliverables, Inc.
Motion Graphics with Music Student Callum Peutrill.
Callum and i met in a meet up where the design students and music students got to know each other and see who was looking for what style. When I got to Cal he had already been told that my illustrative style would suit what he wanted most, when we started talking we figured out it was going to be an awesome chance to collab,
He had the idea of having an underwater scene with sunken instruments on the sea floor, he said he wanted to use lots of colour to create a chill mood. he was open to the idea of an illustrative character as well. One of his hobbies and his Job is Scuba Diving /instructing so we wanted to tie the to as best as possible.
Producer name: Dubstyla,
Album/Release name: Aquanaut,
Genre: Dub
Mood: Chill, Underwater, Oceans, Super colourful, loved Purples, Blues, Greens, and Pinks.
The purpose of our design futures project was to create a design solution for a problem.
Our problem that there is
one hundred and twenty nine billion disposable masks disposed of a month
How can we help people understand that this is not okay?
How do we bring awareness to these numbers?
What can we do to help?
So we came up with Unmasked a bin location to dispose used disposable masks and provide an app to located bin and by re-useable masks.
Callum Parry and I worked on this app for a collaboration, Callum worked on the login , blog and profile pages and i worked on the Map and Store purchasing flow. to bring our design solution to life. it was a cool challenge working remotely on the same file to collaborate on this app design,
I really wanted my end product to show a contrast of beauty and rubbish,i had a plan to draw over a photo to invoke thought, as well as showing the natural side of rubbish in our eco system, when i took the photos, i began with using the sheet to mark out where i wanted to draw a disposable mask on the model. Once I had the photos taken i brought the lightness down and tried to create more of a moody feel. Then adding my illustrations, i put in a solid pink background, to set a nice contrasting colour of the blue from disposable masks. which then allowed me to control my colour pallette a bit more and use triadic and split complementary colour palletes.

The Brief in this project was to create a social media campaign for breast cancer awareness whist following Palmolive's Brand Style Guide.
This trimester has been great refreshing my skills in Visual Communication, and learning new things in the adobe suite. It was great with the collaboration opportunities as well as adapting to remote learning in the middle of a pandemic and also remote collaboration, I am so excited to get to do more collaborating on designs in the future.
