K-Pop in Mexico

I won an ACLS/Mellon grant to do this research project in Mexico City.

I presented preliminary findings at an invited talk for UCI Center for Critical Korean Studies in Nov 2019 and at the Asian Studies Association Meetings in March 2021.

Exploring Equity at Saddleback College: A Pilot Study on the experiences of Latinx Students in the Honors Program

With my Co-PI Claire Cesareo, we worked with the Equity and Inclusion Council and the college research office to design and conduct ethnographic research about student equity. We led a team of student and faculty researchers to interview and conduct support staff to gather qualitative data on, and ultimately offer improvements about, equity at Saddleback.

Mural Collaboration Project "Outside In"

My Cultural anthropology class collaborated with artist Cynthia Luján, and students from Fine Arts to conduct research that informed the creation of this new mural in the BGS Building on our campus.
