Meet Mr. Arthers
I've lived in Maine all my life. I grew up in the small town of Lincoln, ME. I majored in Art at the University of Maine after graduating high school in 1977. Later, I earned my B.S. in education in 1989.
I have enjoyed teaching school since 1989. My first job for SAD 4 was teaching grades 1-4 at the Wellington Elementary School in Wellington, ME. I spent 8 years there. Then I taught 3rd Grade until 2018 when I took the position as performing arts teacher. In 2019 I became the visual arts teacher at PCES.
I currently live in Dover-Foxcroft with my wife Ginny, along with our 2 cats. We have two adult children. My daughter, Erin who lives in Maine and my son Stephen resides in Virginia.
I enjoy reading, drawing and painting in my spare time. I also love singing and playing my guitar for my church praise team on Sundays. My favorite sport is golf and I love watching my beloved Red Sox.
