Below is a summary of all winter sports wrapped up! Be sure to congratulate your fellow Spartans on their great accomplishments!
Boys basketball just finished the regular season with a win against Norwell 56-48 and finished their season 17-6, ranking 34th in the state. The boys have sectionals on March 6-7th. If they win, they'll advance to Regionals which will be on March 14th. Congratulations on a great season for Spartan senior, Brogan McNiece!
The girls finished their season ranked 9th in the state and finishing with a record of 24-3. Special shout outs to senior Myah Epps with a record breaking 1,537 points. In a close game against Norwell, they lost the Sectional Championship 46-47. Great job to all of our seniors: Myah Epps, Gabby Helsom, Carley Moellering, Aislyn Martinez, Whitney Ankenbruck, and Kendall McLaughlin.
What a wonderful season for our Boys Swim and Dive team! At the State competition, the Homestead team won third place overall! A couple Spartans to highlight are Hayden Lynam who placed third in the 200-meter individual medley and Josiah Collins who won fourth in the same category. Logan Poswinski placed sixth in the 50 free. Great job to our Boys Swim and Dive team for dominating the competition!
Our Girls Swim and Dive teams have had a great season! In the IHSAA State competition, our Spartan swimmers placed 12th overall in the entire state! Senior Macartney Mahler won seventh in the state at the 200-meter individual medley. Additionally, Junior Elle Hollingsworth won 4th in the state for her diving! Amazing job to our Girls Swim and Dive team for all of their hard work this season!
This winter, our Boys Wrestling team has had a great season! At the IHSAA State Finals competition, our very own Hunter Douglas won seventh in the state. We would also like to give a shout out to Drew Heisler for advancing to state this season as well. Wonderful job to our boys wrestling team on having such a great season.

In order to remain academically eligible to compete in athletics, students must be passing FIVE of their seven classes. See full IHSAA Eligibility Rules here.
By IHSAA rule, an “I” (incomplete) is considered a failing grade when determining eligibility. Grade checks are made after 9 weeks and at the semester. Any student-athlete who has not passed FIVE (5) credits on the following date(s) at 4:00 p.m., will be declared ineligible for the remainder of the next grading period.
