ELA

    • Readworks:
      • Readworks is a site that contains articles and passages. Each of these articles have comprehension questions for students to answer. Articles have been sent to each student at their instructional reading level. They can get on, read, and answer the questions digitally. I will be providing feedback to the short answer response questions.
        • How to get students to their assignments:

1. Have students go to www.readworks.org/student

2. Students enter class code JJCDL5

3. Tell your students that their default password is 1234

  • Read for 20-30 minutes each day. After reading, have students choose one of the prompts and write about it in their writer's notebook.

Both classes have also been signed up for Newsela which has reading passages and comprehension questions that go with it. The link is below and each class had a code that they need to put in.
