The Foreign Language National Honor Society (French, Italian, Spanish and ASL) recognizes excellence in the study of world languages and commitment to the study of the language and its culture. The purpose of the society is to recognize high achievements of Sachem East High School students enrolled in world languages and promote a continuing interest in advanced studies of world languages.
Foreign Language Honor Society Upcoming Meeting Dates: for 2023-2024
All meetings are held in the Sachem High School East Little Theater from 2:05-2:35. Students are expected to attend the monthly general meetings, please plan accordingly.

To remain in Good Standing, Students must complete 4 hours of community service WITHIN THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE HONOR SOCIETY each year. All service credit opportunities can be found on Google Classroom. Hours that are not listed on Google Classroom will not be approved. There is a one-time $20 dues collected the year you are inducted. Students are expected to attend the monthly meetings to remain in good standing. Attendance is taken at the meetings.
Students must complete 3 levels of the language before applying (Spanish 3, French 3 or Italian 3). ASL must complete 1 year before applying.
