WORLD MUSIC

The Pachelbel Canon is one of the most famous pieces of music ever written. You might have heard it on a commercial, during a TV show or even played at a wedding that you attended. It was written around the year 1680!!!!!That's about 340 years ago!
MELODIC DIRECTION
Melodic direction is the direction in which a melody moves; getting higher, lower or staying the same. You know this a lot from chorus when we are learning a song and I show you the melody or tune with my hands moving like a ladder.
First, just listen to a bit of the attached video to get the tune in your head.
Go back to the beginning and watch the moving graph lines on the bottom as the show you how the melody moves. It's really cool to watch. After a few listening, try to watch a different graph.
