What is ELA?
In this course, we will continue to learn about English through the study and analysis of English literature. We will improve our reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, as well as our analysis and grammar skills while following the 7th grade ELA curriculum.
Some major pieces of literature we will read include: The Cay, “A Christmas Carol,” The Watsons Go To Birmingham, and
“The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street”.
You will take afinal final exam in this course in June. It is very important that you save notes and keep yourself organized so that you can study for this exam!
You will be required to keep a writing portfolio that will count for a percentage of your final average in this course. This portfolio will be kept on Google Drive.
