Homework

Homework is an extension of our school day and is an important tool to see that students are comprehending new material learned. Homework will be given Monday through Thursday evenings. It will be a review of material previously learned either that afternoon or within the unit of study. 

Homework Guidelines:

• Assignments will be completed on time.

• Homework should be completed neatly and accurately.

• If a circumstance should arise that the student does not understand the homework given, the student must tell the teacher as they come into the classroom the following morning. It must also be seen that an attempt was made to complete the homework. Blank pages are not acceptable,  I cannot see where the confusion lies without seeing their thinking.

• If homework is incomplete, students should expect a consequence, such as losing part of recess time. Excessive missing homework assignments will result in a lower grade average in the content area.
