Course Description:

In the first quarter of Advanced Pre-Calculus Honors at CCHS, you revisit the semester one topics of Algebra 2 Honors/Trig., but they add difficulty and depth while reviewing them at a very quick pace.  These lessons will give you a strong foundation to do well in Chapters 0, 1 and 2 in the class.  We will actually end with reviewing Chapter 0, so that it is fresh in your mind when school starts are you are extra prepared for youre first exam. Therefore, we will start with a broad review of the “Core Concepts” you will need to know to do well in quarter 1 and master to do well going forward into the rest of the year. I’ve designed these core concepts lessons to help you focus on the most important ideas that will help you long term in this class. Then after that, we’ll finish by completing your summer packet, and preparing specifically for the first two quizzes you will take in the class which cover simplifying rational expressions and exponents and radicals.

If you want an even more extenstive head start, please inquire.   We can make a plan for that.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:  Students work at different paces.  It’s okay if you don’t finish- this provides a big head start but any head start is great.  If time is running low, skip ahead to prioritize #7,8 below since they are due the first week of school.
