I graduated from Henderson High School in 1996.
While raising our 4 children, I achieved an Associates degree at Kilgore College and went on to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in 4th-8th grade Math and Science.
I have enjoyed spending 5 years being a substitute teacher in the Kilgore Independent School District, as well as, Elder Alternative School in Kilgore. I have also been a short/long-term substitute in the Sabine ISD for 1 year.
I have served on PTO/PTA in both districts collectively since 2000 and served as a mentor at Sabine ISD for 4 years.
In addition to teaching, my husband and I have approximately 25 years of experience working with children and young adults outside of education.
I am a wife and mother of four children (three boys and one girl), all four are graduates of Sabine High School. I also have two daughter-in-laws and three grandchildren.
I love the Lord with all my heart and I love listening to worship music or sermons during my free time. Although I love my quiet time, being around people makes me thrive as I am a great listener. I enjoy going to Colorado, sitting by the fire, and drinking coffee while eating chocolate to relax. My favorite food is oriental food, Memi D's, and Smoothie King. I also love watching dance or gymnastics, riding horses, and doing landscaping with my dad.
