Chris Hemphill

This will be my first year at Sabine Middle School.  I will be coaching Middle School and Varsity football as an Assistant Coach. I will also be the Head Coach in the High School for the Boys' Soccer and Tennis teams.

The past 10 years I worked at Grace Community School in Tyler, Texas, teaching Bible (critical thinking, logic, theology) and coaching football and soccer.  Before that, I spent 5 years working as a youth pastor at Grace Community Church in Tyler.

I am a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication, and a 2005 graduate of Darton College with an Associate's degree in Business Administration.

During college, I played one year of football at the University of Georgia.  I played 2 years of soccer while I was attending Darton College. I also spent time coaching soccer for both boys and girls teams.

After college, I spent 2 years working at Pine Cove Christian Camps as a Counselor & Senior Counselor.  I participated in Pine Cove's leadership and discipleship program (called The Forge) from 2008-2009, where I studied leadership and theology.

In my free time, I am a coach for FC Dallas based in Tyler, Texas.
Currently I am helping with the 2011 Girls and the 2012 Girls teams.

I hold a National D License with the United States Soccer Federation.

I am excited to join the staff at Sabine Middle School!  I am passionate about pouring into the next generation, helping them to know and be confident in who they are, as well as preparing them to be leaders and influencers in whatever calling is placed upon their life.
