GRAD DAY ITINERARY - TUESDAY, June 23, 2026
Parkland Grad Walk – attendance is encouraged but is optional.
10:45 - 10:50 Grads meet in the Army & Navy parking lot (the parking lot with the plane) - 9831 Fourth St. Sidney.
10:30 – 10:50 This is also the location for After Grad clothing drop-off.
11:00 Grads will start from Fourth St and walk down Beacon towards the water.
11:15 Grads will end their walk at Beacon Park. Once there, grads can take this opportunity to have photos taken with family and friends.
If you are not planning on participating in the walk and photo opportunity at Beacon Park, you should still plan to drop off After Grad clothing at the Army & Navy parking lot between 10:30 – 10:50am. All clothing should be clearly marked with the grad’s name.
1:30 – 1:45 Grads must arrange their own transportation to UVic. They must not drive themselves as they will be bused back to the
Mary Winspear Centre, after the ceremony. All Grads must be at UVic by 1:45pm at the latest with their grad gown.
2:00 – 3:00 Grad Rehearsal – (including Grad cap distribution). Water will be provided to grads.
3:00 – 3:30 Grad Group Photo
3:30 Grads line up – Doors to University Farquhar Auditorium are open
4:00 - 6:00 Ceremony at University Farquhar Auditorium
6:15 Buses are loaded and leave for Sidney – Mary Winspear Centre
7:00 - 9:00 Grad Dinner Dance – Mary Winspear Centre
9:00 – 12:00am After Grad – Mary Winspear Centre – parent/s pickup grads at 12:00am
12:00 – 12:15am All grads must be picked up by this time.
* No drugs or alcohol are permitted at any point during this grad day. Failure to observe this rule will result in immediate dismissal from the grad ceremony, dinner dance and after grad with no refund available.
